Weproceeded three miles further and found the land more level and well timbered withspruce, tamarac, poplar, birch and balm of Gilead of a good size. The spruce will cuttwenty cords per acre, and the remainder of the timber is large and fit for lumber andand would cut about one hundred and fifty feet per acre.
