The best way to destroy it is to syringe freely, directing the water to the under-sides of the leaves. This may be done frequently by the use of clean rain-water, and the mechanical action of the water will dislodge the pest. Tobacco-water effectually destroys it. I might give a list of names of the best Hollyhocks, but most of the named sorts of a few years back seem to have gone out of cultivation.
