A figure in a small boat floats down the river beneath a bridge that crosses the water leading to the inn. Several canoes and rowboats docked at the inn float along the riverbank. The name of the photographer, " EMERSON", has been scratched into the lower left corner of the image. (Recto, adjacent interleaving) center, printed in black ink: "PLATE XV. THE OLD RYE HOUSE INN."
