Along the rim are nine designated viewpoints where the free Hermits Rest Route shuttle bus stops. The Rim Trail also follows the rim of the canyon for miles ( km) along Hermit Road and offers the opportunity for short or long walks between viewpoints on both paved and dirt trails. NPS
