A study of some of the factors that influence the yield and the composition of growing pasture grass . .5. Influence of Manure The data for the effect of manure upon the nutritive ratio of pasturegrass is found in Table 60 and Chart XXXVIII. It will be seen here thatmanuring narrows the ratio from to points. This effect is mostpronounced the latter half of the pasture season. The greatest change to-ward a narrower ratio is in September, when the ratio of the grass grownunder the influence of manure becomes narrower by points than the grassfrom the check plot. Influence of Frequency

Influence of Frequency of Cutting The results showing the influence of frequency of cutting upon thenutritive ratio of pasture grass, are found in Table 62 and Chart data indicate that cutting grass biweekly as compared to cutting itweekly tends to widen the nutritive ratio. This is true of all the the case of the grass cut twice a year, this result is very ratio of this grass is nearly twice as wide as that of the grass cutweekly from the check plot.
