Tliis garden would have a very satisfactory appearanceif it were planted as follows:—The four larger beds at tliecorners to be filled Avith ever-blooming roses—one bed en-tirely with pure white roses, such as the White Dailv,White Madame Desprez, Aim^e Vibert, etc.; another withdeep crimson roses, such as Cramoisie SnpcJi-ieure, Cornicede Seine et Marne, Paul Joseph, Queen of Lombardy, etc.;a third with rose-colored varieties, such as Hermosa, PinkMadame Desprez, Bouquet de Flore, etc.; and the fourthwith creamy, fawn, and shaded roses, such as MadameBosanquet, Saffrano, Jauue Desprez, Queen, and Souvenirde Malmaison. By keeping each color distinct, we get amarked and striking eJSect, entirely unattainable by mixingall colors
