1466: Dinant rebellion and installation of a scarecrow bearing the effigy of Charles the Bold. After Louis XI's victory at Montlhéry, the inhabitants of Dinant rebelled and took advantage of the occasion to refuse to continue to submit to Burgundian authority. This rebellion was harshly put down during the Sack of Dinant in August 1466.
