L He par-ticipated with this regiment in the battles of Murfreesboro,Tennessee; Fort Anderson, North Carolina, and TownCreek, North Carolina, and moved on Raleigh, North Caro-lina, where Gen. Joseph E. Johnston surrendered suchSouthern forces as he commanded. Mustered out with hisregiment June 24, 1865, at Greensboro, North Carolina.
