Wendover Dean, UK. 2nd June, 2024. HS2 are continuing work on the construction of the deck of the Wendover Dean Viaduct in Buckinghamshire. The deck of viaduct which will stretch for 450 metres, is being assembled in three stages, being pushed into place. Once completed towards the end of this year, the Wendover Dean viaduct will weigh 3,700 tonnes. The viaduct has meant that the former Durham Farm House was demolished and part of Jones Hill Jones, where tree protectors fought to save it, was felled by High Speed Rail Ltd.
