Here other glands pour in secretions, and otherlacteals carry on the work of absorption, leaving thewaste matter to pass on to the rectum whence it isexpelled by the anus (Fig. XXL). Mesenteric Glands, Lacteals soon after leaving the intestines are joinedto glands about the size of peas, called mesentericglands, into which they discharge their contents.
