It is comprised of Maple, Oak, Mahogony, Mirrors and Steel. The numerous spiegels, or mirrors, in the interior of the tent, made it possible to make discreet eye contact with other visitors, sparking connections and igniting passions. First built in Belgium in 1947, it takes K-days attendees back to the time, when these tents were moving from town to town to allow performers to be seen in a small venue, Spiegeltent is Flemish for Mirror tent and the Cristal Palace is only one of 3 actively being used in North America. None of the pieces are numbered and the design allows the voices of the performers to be amplified without the use of speakers and only by the rooftop of the tent itself. West Coast Spiegeltents is based in Valencia, California.
