On Thursday 2nd February Operation Cubo took place in Ilford, Redbridge. Op Cubo is aimed at uninsured vehicles and drivers driving vehicles not in accordance with their license. Such operations also often uncover other criminals and associated activity and deter criminals from using the roads. The operation in Ilford resulted in a large number of vehicles being stopped, some as a result of inquiries being seized and several arrests being made. Two people were arrested in Station Rd after officers stopped a vehicle which later turned out to have been stolen.
