The load a cart willcarry varies greatly with the road, great difficultybeing experienced in hauling even an empty cart onsome of the roads. Transportation by mule-back orcart is quicker than llama transportation but costsmore. Where the cart can be used, it has the advantageof being able to handle large pieces whole whichotherwise would have to be sectionalized.
