Staff Sgt. Aaron Scofield, a firefighter with the quick strike team, covers his ears as a C-130 taxis at a dirt runway near Forward Operating Base Apache, Afghanistan, Aug. 12. The C-130 delivered the last of the firefighter's P-19 fire engines. The firefighters are part of a team, deployed to set up crass, fire and rescue at a bare base.
