Dedication page for 17th century almanac. Dated 1686, this almanac was written by William Davis for Thomas Neale of Ludgershall, near Andover, Wiltshire, England. An almanac is an annual publication of tables of data, including calendar dates and common astronomical and geographical information. William Davis was active in the years 1687 to 1692, and also lived at Ludgershall. He was a pill-maker, an astrologer, a surveyor, and a teacher of mathematics. The dedication, addressed to Thomas Neale, is followed by a table of dates.
