041112-N-8157C-037 Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Nov. 12, 2004) - More than 200 officers and Sailors, assigned to the Pearl Harbor-based guided missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37), returned home from deployment. Crommelin, commanded by Cmdr. Don Hodge, was deployed to Naval Forces Southern Command area of responsibility engaged in monitoring, detection, and counter drug activities. Since reporting for duty in the Eastern Pacific May 20, Crommelin disrupted five narcotics smuggling operations, interdicted more than $1 billion worth of cocaine, and captured 29 suspected narcotics smugglers.
