Fenwicks Method of Examination of Kidney outside the Body.—Fenwick ^ has examined the kidney with the fluorescent screen after ithas been taken out from the patients loin. This procedure, as he states,would not always be possible, as in some patients the blood vessels aretoo short to permit of it; further, this method might entail delay, for ifthe surgeon who took out the kidney should also make the X-ray ex-amination, he would be obliged to remain in a darkened room for tenminutes before he could use the fluorescent screen properly, as it wouldbe entirely useless to give any weight to t
