This is a fine strain of the ordinary Foxglove D. purpurea, with hand- some spotted Gloxinia-like flowers on long spikes. Striking hardy perennial plants, with handsome silvery thistle-like foliage and fine steel-blue flowers in round heads, which can be used for cutting. Excellent for the back of the hardy border among other tall plants; 3 to 5 feet. 10 ERYNGIUM (Sea Holly) 2421 Amethystinum.
