TIEDEMANNIA rigida, Coult. & Rose, is a hardy native, white-flowered swamp herb, growing 2-5 ft. high from clustered tubers. It has pinnate lvs. with 3-9 leaflets. This was ofliered in 1890-91 by a collector of North Carolina plants, but is probably not in culti- vation.
