Sometimes called "Boston Ivy" and "Japan ; This is adapted to all situations, it is entirely hardy in the most exposed places, attaining- a height of 20 to 30 feet in two or three years, clinging to stones, brick or woodwork with the greatest tenacity. For covering dead trees, gate posts, boundary walls, verandas, etc., it has no equal, while its rapid growth and tenacious clinging qualities make it a most desirable plant for stay- ing up terraces. In the summer the foliage is a rich shade of green, but in the fall it assumes the most gorgeous tints of scarlet, crimson and orange, so dazzling as to be seen at a great distance, : 1st size, extra strong ground grown, 2 to 3 ft., 50c. each, $ per doz. 2d " pot " 11^ to 2" 30c.
