Among these breeds are found theWensley-dale; the Devon Long Wool; the Border Leicester, which is becoming very popular in New Zealand also;the South Devon, having characteristics very similarto the Devon Long Wool; the Herdwick; the Exmoor;the Ryeland, which in the writers opinion is a veryuseful breed and undoubtedly would make a goodcross on common western range ewes; the Ros-common; the Dartmoor, which is especially adaptedto poor, hilly country; the Kerry Hill, and theWelsh breed. It is surprising how many differentbreeds of the long and medium wools are raised inGr
