Portugal: Architectonic detail of the convent of Christ in Tomar


The convent of Christ was built in the 12th century and served in the beginning the as the head quarter of the legendary Order of Temple Knights. Later it became a symbol of Portuguese architecture style, the "Manuelino" style, which is a mixture of different epochs with symbols of the time of discoveries.
