Detail of a monument to the memory of 275 fishermen lost at sea, in the seaside village of Katwijk aan Zee, South Holland, The Netherlands. The title is: "Sons of Katwijk who did not return". The monument consists of a number of rusty steel plates with the names of the 275 men, who lost their lives at sea during the past 85 years. Especially during the Second World War many sailors drowned. The monument is situated at the seafront overlooking the beach and the North Sea.
