Business during the last week has been 'an improvement over the preced- ing one. Funeral work has taken up a large quantity of otherwise surplus stock. Betail trade is picking up and many orders are being received for Easter trade. Boses and carnations are to be had in quantity and are mov- ing fairly well, but at a low price, considering the quality. Violets are in good demand, with the supply gener- ous, but it is doubtful if the crop will hold out until Easter. Locally grown jonquils are in good demand, and good prices are realized on first-class stock. The southern supply of jonquils is now at its height and they are to be had at a low price, being sold at retail on the street corners as low as 2^ cents a dozen. Sweet peas are being used as fast as they accumulate. Prices are not good. The weather has been mild and springlike, which no doubt helped to increase business. The green goods supply is still unequal to the demand, with
