Branch: Air Force Rank: MSgt. Current Position: Administrative Assistant/Marquette Biological Station in Region 3, Piton entered the Air Force in August 1987 as an Airman Basic (E-1) and retired in September 2007 as a Master Sergeant. She held assignments at Nellis AFB, Nevada; San Vito, Italy; and Minot AFB, North Dakota. She was deployed to Kirkuk, Iraq, and was there when Saddam Hussein was captured (less than 50 miles away). She earned honors as Air Combat Command Airman of the Year, 6-time Base Personnel Specialist of the Year, and Basic Training Honor Graduate.
