The driver in her fifties has been taken to hospitial with serious injuries following a crash on Stubbington Lane, Lee on the Solent. The woman who was driving a blue Honda was in collision with a white transit van near to the junction of Crofton Avenue. Lee on the Solent,Hampshire Monday 4th January 2016 A woman has been left in a serious condition after a crash in the Lee-On-The-Solent area this evening. The driver in her fifties has been taken to hospitial with serious injuries following a crash on Stubbington Lane, Lee on the Solent. The woman who was driving a blue Honda was in collision with a white transit van near to the junction of Crofton Avenue. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 6pm this evening on Monday. Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two Fire appliances from Gosport. Fire crews quickly removed the roof of the vehicle using specialist cutting equipment. The woman was strapped on to a spinal board. She has been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospitial in Cosham by ambulance with serious leg and head injuries. A spokeswoman for SCAS said “The ambulance service sent an ambulance crew, a rapid response vehicle. Police closed the road for over an hour whilst they dealt with the incident and traffic was sent down local diversions whilst the woman was cut from free from her vehicle." .©UKNIP
