Facades in the old town of Stockholm. Many houses are painted in light ochre and yellow tones. This design feature goes back to Nicodemus Tessin the Younger. He was the most important architect in Sweden around 1700 and, influenced by his studies in Italy, recommended giving the houses a bright and friendly color scheme. The architecture in Stockholm's cityscape has an Italian influence. Stockholm, Sweden
