Here, they seal the door by local control to insure its operation in case of failure of the master control system. As the heavy door slowly meshes closed, a warning alarm sounds in the passageway. The door, which limits flooding to a small controllable area, closes with sufficient force to cut off a stream of flooding mater or cut through debris that might jam in the doorway.
