Vandana and her husband who run a cookery school from their home in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh in Northern India.

Vandana is a remarkable self-made woman. She left school with few qualifications and has built up a business for herself in the city of Orchha. From her house (which she and her husband are continuing to build as funds allow) she runs a successful cookery school for foreign tourists. As well as the cookery school she also has a small shop selling ingredients featured in her cooking and a side line of applying temporary henna tattoos to her visitors.
