Troostite (willemite), calcite and franklinite from Franklin, New Jersey. The pinkish mineral is troostite, a manganese rich variety of willemite, ZnSi2O4. The white mineral is calcite, CaCO3. The black mineral is franklinite, a spinel mineral having general formula ZnFe2O4. This sample, from the world famous mineral collecting locality in Franklin, New Jersey, is 9 cm across.
