Corleone is a 1978 film directed by Pasquale Squitieri, starring Giuliano Gemma and Claudia Cardinale, loosely based on the essay-investigation The accomplices: the anti-mafia years (1973) by Orazio Barrese, which narrated the rise of the mafia boss Luciano Liggio .[1] It is the story of two childhood friends from Corleone, Michele and Vito, of whom the first becomes a trade unionist, the other a mafioso.
