An electric car charging point is seen in London. To help improve air quality, an Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) which came into force on Monday 8 April 2019, now operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within the same area of central London as the Congestion Charge. Drivers must meet the ULEZ emissions standards or have to pay a daily charge, in addition to Congestion Charge to drive within the zone.
