San Francisco, Bay to Breakers annual cross city race, in 1980

Bay to Breakers is a mile annual footrace in San Francisco, normally on the third Sunday of May. The phrase "Bay to Breakers" reflects the fact that the race starts at the Bay side of the city and runs west to finish at the Pacific Great Highway, adjacent to where breakers crash into Ocean beach. It is one of the largest attending and longest running footraces in the world.
