Roman latrine, 2rd century, (c1990-2010). Housesteads Roman Fort (Vercovicium), Northumberland. A reconstruction drawing of the interior of the latrines. An auxiliary fort on Hadrian's Wall in the civil parish of Bardon Mill in Northumberland, England, built in stone around AD 124 and part of the Roman province of Britannia. Its name has been variously given as Vercovicium, Borcovicus, Borcovicium, and Velurtion.
