Fan-throated lizard, Sarada darwini , Kolhapur , INDIA. Genus Sarada commonly known as the large-fan-throated-lizards, is a recently erected genus. The genus along with five new species were described from parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka. The species epithet in this species (Sarada drawini) is placed in honour of Charles Darwin, while the genus name Sarada originates from Marathi word meaning 'lizard'
