The largest cast in my possession has a length of five and a half inches,and a width of four and a half inches, the depth of both valves being three and a half smallest cast in my possession, has a length of two inches and a width of one inchand three-quarters, the depth of the closed valves being one inch and four lines. Shell equivalve, valves compressed,the depth of both valves being littlemore than one-third of the elliptical, the length nearlyone-third greater than the anterior, incrassated, withapparently one cardinal and twolateral teeth. A single, deep, con-centrically-striated muscular impres-sion placed just in front of and be-neath the umbones, with a small cir-cular pit above it. Pallial line sim-ple.
