PHILIPPINE SEA (June 29, 2013) From left, the guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), the Philippine Navy frigate Gregorio Del Pilar (PF 15) and the Philippine Coast Guard vessel Edsa II (SARV 002) are underway during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Philippines 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
