London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 6th Nov, 2020. Despite the UK going back into lockdown Ryanair's chief executive Michael O'Leary has stated that they will not be cancelling flights, meaning that passengers won't be offered refunds. They will though be able to change to a later flight. As part of the second lockdown the UK government has banned all but essential travel in England. The first flight to depart Southend Airport since the second lockdown began was the 06:45 FR2184 to Alicante, Spain, a country also seeing increases in infection
