Situated on the shores of Lake Nicaragua near the town of Rivas, the Amayo Wind Farm includes nearly two dozen turbine generators, producing 34MW of electric power. The farm is part of a long-range plan by Nicaragua's Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA) to significantly increase energy output from non-fossil fuel sources, Rivas, Nicaragua.
