ALBANY- New York Army and Air National Guard Soldiers wait to hear Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Annual State-of-the-State Speech on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 in Meeting Room 6 of the Empire State Plaza. 50 Army and Air Guard members were among 277 responders, along with State Police, Department of Environmental Conservation Police, New York State Parks Police, local police and fire departments and county sheriff's departments, and state agency personnel who were recognized by the governor for their part in responding to Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee in August and September 2011.
