A welcome scene - volunteers picking up litter from the banks of the Thames at low tide near to St Paul's Cathedral. The Thames has been successfully cleaned up so much over the last 50 years that it has transformed from a dead river into one now hosting many forms of marine life. And it no longer stinks. Hurrah!
