During this time the Good Templars Hall in whichthe church had been organized, had been purchased andtransformed into a chapel. This is an historic THE WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS PRESBYTERIAN CHAPEL. It was originally built at Diamond City in 1867 by TheUnion League of America, a political organization of theearly days. It passed into the hands of a brewer fromwhom it was purchased by the Good Templars Lodge ofDiamond City, by whom it was moved to White SulphurSprings in 1880, there being a large emigration from Dia-mond City to the new county-seat at that time. So beforebecoming a Presbyterian chapel this building had served forheadquarters for league and lodge, a school-house at WhiteSulphur Springs and a meeting house for religious andsecular purposes in l^otli towns. For some of these his-torical data we are indebted to Mr. Robert N. Sutherlin,editor for many years of the Rocky Mountain Husbandman,at Diamond City, A^^iite Sulphur Springs and now at GreatPalls. 4W HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF MONTANA.
