It is an early, constant and immensely profuse bloomer, throwing a strong flower spike early in June, when 12 to 18 inches high, and is covered continually thereafter with its startling brilliant heads of bloom. During the months of July, August, September and October it is a mass of intense color. Habit dwarf, reaching 3% feet at the end of the season on very rich soil. It is well foliaged, stools freely, and is equally valuable for pot culture, single specimens on the lawn or for massing. No florist can afford to be without it.
