LOGAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan – Army Sgt. Jordan Cascio is a 26-year-old native of Hickory, , who is serving in eastern Afghanistan with 2nd Platoon, Battle Company. 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, headquartered out of Vicenza, Italy. On his second deployment to Afghanistan, Cascio enlisted in 2008 as an infantryman, continuing a long family history of military service. ( Army photo by Sgt.
