Bertrand de Saint Genes was born in Quency the 1260. Was Patriarch of Aquileia (Italy) from 1334 until 1350, date of death. The popular legend say that he is death under this cross on a cart in a trip from Richinvelda to Udine, woundered in an ambrush. Loved and adored by people once of his blessed proclamation, he devised teh Friuli University and today he is reminded and celebrated, here in this site, by the students of Udine university.
