The fast tall ship Stad Amsterdam clipper entering the Solent passing the Needles Isle of Wight. The Stad Amsterdam is a fast clipper built in 1990. It is more than 60 feet long with a steel hull and teak timbers. It has previously won the Tall Ships race and gained the status of flagship. Sunlight glints over the water backlighting topsails. The ship was approaching a mooring at Yarmouth in the Solent.
