A beautiful variety, with young shoots and leaves of a brigh, purplish and crimson color, which changes to purplish green in the olaer leaves. Scarlet [Rubrum). A rapid growing tree with red flowers very early in the spring. Silver-Leaved [A. dasycar- p:::n). (Sorbits aucuparia). A very beautiful tree of medium size, with an erect stem, smooth bark and round head; covered during the fall and winter with bright scarlet berries; universally admired. American. A tree of rapid, but coarser growth than the Eu- ropean variety, pin- nate foliage. Oak-Leaved [S. querci- folia). A handsome tree of erect habit and rich green foliage, -deeply lobed; very- hardy and desirable. MULBERRY. White [Morns alba).
