GREAT LAKES, Ill. (April 1, 2019) Force Master Chief for Submarine Forces, U. S. Pacific Fleet, Paul J. Davenport, shakes hands with Chief Mass Communication Specialist Brandie Nix after he received a commemorative plaque at the 2019 Great Lakes Region Chief Petty Officer Symposium at Recruit Training Command. The symposium is in celebration of the 126th birthday of the chief petty officer. More than 35,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
