Biologiska Museet (Biological Museum), Djurgarden, Stockholm, Sweden


Museum was built in 1893 to a design by Agi Lindegren who was inspired by medieval Norwegian stave churches. It houses a collection of taxidermied Scandinavian mammals and birds. They are set against background paintings by Swedish painter Bruno Liljefors. The museum was founded by taxidermist Gustaf Kolthoff. Currently the museum is closed for refurbishment.
