The car on offer is powered by a hand-built, all aluminium, Dino V6, and according to the car’s owner is based on a 1960’s race chassis, which is believed to have raced with an unknown body and engine. The engine was rebuilt by Marque specialists Ferrari Engineering, who work on many Ferraris of this era. The exhaust was handmade at a cost of £3,000, which gives the car a fully authentic sound. A fantastic opportunity to own a beautiful classic tribute to the famous Ferrari race car. Some of the early entries include a 1967 Specification 330 P4. There were only four Ferrari P4-engined cars were ever made: one P3/4 and three 330 P4’s. This exceptional car has a hand-crafted and bespoke built P4. The engine was rebuilt by Marque specialists Ferrari Engineering, who work on many Ferraris of this era. The interior was also made as close to the original P4 as possible, and features Rosso Leather seats, Sabelt race harness and Ferrari clocks, also complete is a foot well fire extinguisher and plumbed in system in the engine bay. The car has only four previous owners and said to have covered less than 1,000 miles. The estimate is £130,000- £150,000. With such few numbers being manufactured, getting hold of a genuine car now would be an almost impossible task and would set you back circa £20 million. Based on a 1960's race car chassis, which is thought to have raced in period although with an unknown body and engine, the body was replaced at some point with a P4 style body, and the decals were added to replicate the famous race winning cars. The engine is now a handbuilt, all aluminium, Dino V6 unit. This was rebuilt by Farranti Engineering, who specialise in Ferrari's of this era. The exhaust system was handmade at a cost of over £3,000 and makes all the right noises. The wheels are magnesium Daytona items fitted with period tyres and the brakes are a vented Wilwood setup; we understand the suspension was revised so it drives as well as it looks.
